Is sugar really the new evil?
Sorry cupcake, it doesn't look good. Too much of the sweet stuff can wreak havoc on your entire body. Added sugars have been associated with inflammation, a condition linked to obesity, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease. In fact, a 2014 study found that people who consumed 17 to 21 percent of their daily calories from added sugar had a 38 percent of higher risk of dying from heart disease than those who got only 8 percent. For most women, the American Heart Association recommends no more than 100 calories from added sugar daily.
Healthcare: Hair Tips
Basic Hair Care: We have about 100,000 strands of hairs on our head. Each grows for two to six years. It's normal to shed some 50 to 100 hair strands a day. When hair falls out,a new strand eventually replaces it.Hair has an evolutionary function. It protects our scalp from the scorching sun and in colder climates it helps to control heat loss.Healthy and well-groomed hair affects how we are perceived.Never rub hair vigorously or brush or comb more than necessary.Pat hair gently with towel, wrap and let soak up for a minute or two when drying it. Try to avoid excessive exposure to the sun, chlorine, and salt water. Choose a shampoo and conditioner that will moisturize the hair.It is very important to protect hair from harmful elements and this is especially so for dry hair. Useca wide-toothed comb to untangle hair, starting from the ends.Metal combs can damage delicate hair shafts. Try to be gentle with your hair.Fighting to untangle it will only cause it to break. A balanced diet is essential for healthy hair.Consume enough meat, fresh fruits, and vegetables.

Do you know that the 'skin' is the largest organ in your body? It performs many vital function yet it is often taken for granted. SKIN is the body's guard, protecting your internal organs against bacteria, chemicals, and external shock. It is also the body's thermostat, regulating the body's temperature through the sweat glands. How you take care of your skin is reflected in its present condition and in the years to come.'Basic Skin Care'Basic skin care includes bathing at least once a day with soap and water. Try to clean your face at least twice a day;in the morning and before you retire to bed in the evening. If we do not wash our face the dust and dirt will block the pores and may cause pimples and black heads.Pimples are due to the blockage and infection of the sebaceous glands of the skin.To get rid of pimples try washing the face with a cleanser with antibacterial properties. There are also many pimple creams and gels, which you can apply to dry up the pimple. Moisturize at least twice a day:once in the morning, and in the evening before going to bed.And it is not true that those with pimples need not moisturize. They should use a water-based moisturizer instead of an oil-based one which may further irritate the skin. 'Care For Dry Skin' Quite a lot of people complain that they have dry, rough skin. This can be due to variety of reasons.Strong soaps, not drinking enough water and an air-conditioned environment all dehydrate the skin. Using very hot water to bathe also causes skin dryness. To prevent this, you should use lukewarm water only when showering. You should also avoid using too strong soap.Try to use one which is pH balanced. You can also apply an emollient cream to hydrate the skin. To have soft, fresh skin remove the outer layer of dead skin cells by rubbing a loofah or washcloth in circular motions on your skin. This is called exfoliation. Eat a balance diet rich in fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water:at least six to eight glasses per day. Cut down on tea, coffee, and alcohol which can cause water loss through an increase in urination. Allergies, hormonal imbalances, infection or stress can also cause skin disorders.Consult your doctor especially if there is any abnormal bruising or also if suspicious moles appear. Having enough sleep is very important for the skin.It is during our sleep that our skin regenerates itself.
Sinility
In many cases, as age advances, the blood vessels become narrow and reduce the supply of available oxygen to the brain tissues. The result is confusion, disorientation, and loss of memory. A new England hospital successfully treated patients with narrowed blood vessels by administration of niacin in combination with a high potency multivitamin supplement.
The doctors state that the positive results are due to the fact that niacin has a vasodilatory (opening of the blood vessels) effect on the system, A report in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society (June 1971) stated that nutritional deficiencies were being recognized with increasing frequency in the practice of geriatric medicine. Heavey emphasis is placed on adequate intake of the B vitamins and vitamin C in addition to a change in dietary habits.

The infection commonly occurs on the chest or abdomen, although it may occur on the face around the eyes.
The B vitamins are necessary for the proper functioning of the nerves. Intra-muscular injections of thiamine hydrochloride and vitamin B12 are sometimes used in the treatment of herpes zoster. Vitamins A and C help promote healing of the skin lesions characteristic of the disease.
